We just posted this video overview of our No.325 Y-Strap Workshop apron. I designed the apron personal use long before we even offering aprons as a product at ARTIFACT. I developed the Y-Strap system because I wanted a leather strap apron that doesn't tug at my neck after wearing it for several hours.
When customers would visit our studio to purchase our bags and leather accessories they'd marvel at our shop made aprons and want to buy them. Admittedly, I remember being hung up on our name (Artifact Bag Co.), and not particularly interested in the category of aprons. Eventually, I was swayed by demand, and we rebranded to "ARTIFACT". The rest is history!
Our No. 325 Y-Strap aprons are offered in 14oz wax canvas and 13oz Cone Mills denim from North Carolina. They have rivet reinforced lower pockets with dividers, as well as two breast pockets. The leather straps are secured to the apron with hand hammered copper rivets and backed with leather washers.
Above is an image of me in my personal No.325 Y-Strap Apron in olive wax canvas. Notice how the wax develops an attractive patina over 8+ years of use.
The leather Y-Strap system is adjustable and spreads apron and tool weight across your shoulders for all-day comfort.
