Overview
ARTIFACT is hiring an Order Fulfillment Assistant to manage online order packing and shipping at our studio.
This is hands-on, detail-driven work focused on accurately picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment. The work is structured and repetitive, with a strong emphasis on consistency, organization, and speed without sacrificing quality.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in getting the details right and can maintain focus across a steady flow of orders.
This position reports to our Head of Operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Pick products accurately from inventory based on order tickets
- Pack orders to meet brand presentation and protection standards
- Print and apply shipping labels using our shipping software
- Verify order accuracy before shipment (items, quantities, personalization notes)
- Manage packing materials and restock fulfillment stations
- Maintain clean, organized packing and shipping areas
- Assist with receiving and organizing incoming inventory
- Flag order issues or discrepancies before shipment
What This Role Requires
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow systems and repeat them consistently
- Comfort working with software (Shopify, ShipStation or similar — training provided)
- Ability to stay organized while managing multiple orders
- Basic problem-solving when orders don’t match or need clarification
- Reliability and punctuality
Physical Demands
This is an active, on-your-feet role. The position requires:
Standing for most of the shift
Frequent movement between packing, inventory, and shipping areas
Repetitive hand and arm motion (folding, packing, labeling)
Lifting and moving boxes and materials up to 40 lbs
This role is best suited for someone comfortable with steady, active work throughout the day.

Overview
ARTIFACT is hiring a Production Assistant to support our in-house manufacturing team.
This is hands-on production work focused on hardware installation, die cutting, leather strap cutting, fabric spreading, and cutting operations. The work is structured, physical, repetitive, and detail-driven.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with tools and materials and can produce consistent, accurate results within established systems.
This position reports to our Head of Operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Install rivets, grommets, snaps, and other hardware
- Die cut leather and fabric components using a clicker press
- Cut leather hides into straps and small parts
- Spread and lay out fabric for production runs
- Cut stacked materials using electric straight knife and rotary cutters
- Inspect components for accuracy and quality
- Maintain clean, organized work areas
What This Role Requires
- Comfort using hand tools and light machinery (training provided)
- Ability to measure accurately using rulers and tapes, including working with fractions
- Basic math skills for calculating cuts and material layout
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with steady focus
- Reliability and punctuality
Physical Demands
This is an active, physical production role. The position requires:
- Standing for most of the shift
- Frequent bending, reaching, and moving between workstations
- Repetitive hand and arm motion throughout the day
- Independently lifting and moving materials up to 50 lbs
- Assisting with team lifts of large fabric rolls (100+ lbs total weight)
This role is best suited for someone comfortable with steady, physical work throughout the day.
After training and once quality standards are consistently met, team members may listen to music or podcasts using one earbud while working.

We take a daily stretch break together and keep the studio clean and organized.

ARTIFACT is hiring a Sewing Specialist to join our in-house manufacturing team.
This role focuses on constructing canvas and leather goods using industrial sewing equipment. The work is structured and detail-driven, requiring consistency, accuracy, and steady output.
We are looking for someone comfortable working within established production systems who can deliver clean, repeatable results.
This position reports to our Head of Operations.
Primary Responsibilities

Operate industrial sewing machines (walking foot, post bed, etc.)

Sew canvas, twill, denim, and leather goods from cut components

Follow production patterns and established processes accurately

Maintain stitch quality and construction consistency

Inspect finished goods for quality control

Maintain a clean and organized sewing area

Communicate clearly with the production team regarding workflow
