Tote bags are everywhere. They are often given out for free! However, a google image search will prove that immaculate totes are scarce.

Fortunately, we are in the business of making immaculate totes. What makes our tote so special? 

1. Shape - Like a well crafted boat, the body has to look balanced from all angles. A squatty or bulbous tote seldom flatters the wearer. Sadly, a slender tote cannot really hold anything!
2. Leather - Big brands hire competent designers to make attractive shaped bags, but then they go and use garbage leather - where blemishes are concealed with a tinted layer of plastic (which is why “luxury fashion brand” totes feel like car upholstery and smell like vinyl, not leather). We only use premium full grain leather that reveals natural grain and gradients (called “pull up”) that only a fine leather can do. Our leather also smells amazing.
3. Hardware - We do not entertain dingle dangles or foo foo that ineviatbly get relegated to a donation pile once that given trend is declared over. We also steer clear of plated metals because they are cheap in quality and appearance.
4. Patina - Once plated hardware starts to flake off a “luxury brand” tote, and its plastic edge dressing starts cracking everywhere, our full grain leather tote is developing a rich, heirloom worthy patina that elevates the bag's appearance even more.

Vegetable Tanned = A traditional and lasting  process that uses plant based tannins rather than environmentally harmful chemicals.   

Care:

The leathers we use are conditioned at the tannery to retain their oils and remain supple for years. Oiling or further conditioning is not necessary with normal use. Avoid soaking leather. If soaked, air dry away from any heat source. Clean leather with a damp rag and air dry away from direct sunlight.

Spot clean cotton with a clean, damp rag and mild soap (no detergent). Air dry away from direct sunlight.
