The No. 274 is spaciously designed with 6 liters carry capacity for choosing your own adventures. 

This versatile pack was partly born from my desire to have a fly fishing bag, but with an ARTIFACT aesthetic. I also wanted a camera bag that does not scream “I’m a camera bag full of expensive gear!”. Lastly, when stripped of all accoutrements, I wanted a pack that looks clean for everyday carry.

Specific Use Case: Fly Fishing

When I use the bag for small stream fishing, I hang my essential tools across the front “daisy chain” across the front. Our No.702 Bottle sleeve is secured to one of the side gussets to carry my Nalgene bottle. I secure our No.258 Tech Pouch on the other gusset to safely stow my iphone, so I have quick access to maps and phone camera.

I cinch the 2” web belt around my waist and position the bag over my right hip, giving me casting clearance (I’m left handed) and accessibility to my tools while fishing. If I am bushwhacking through the brush I’ll slide the pack to my lower back to minimize my profile. I keep a No.3 Mesh Panel Zip Pouch in the main compartment to contain loose items (leaders, indicators, knot tool, etc) that may obstruct my fly boxes. 

I use the padded shoulder strap to distribute load and the shoulder strap's d-ring to clip my net lanyard to. I also tuck the net handle into the waist belt.
