As a collector of vintage, I accumulate a lot of cool looking bags. Unfortunately, they are often designed for a specific purpose that does not match 21st century use cases.

Our No.705 Field Bag is an amalgamation of the WWII US M4 gas mask bag, early British game bags, and probably a few other utilitarian bags residing in my subconscious.

The kicker with all these wonderful old bags is they are either gigantic, or too small to hold a laptop. We designed our field bag to hold up to 17" laptop while maintaining an attractive silhouette for all sizes of wearer. 

We chose 18oz waxed twill / canvas because it's weatherproof and it develops a glorious patina with use (think Barbour jacket). It also partners perfectly with Horween leather, a Chicago tannery founded in 1905 that is only used on the finest products (think Alden shoes). 

Long after your laptop morphs into a microchip implanted behind your ear, this will still be your go-to everyday carry bag.

Vegetable Tanned Leather - A traditional and lasting  process that uses plant based tannins rather than environmentally harmful chemicals.   

Care:

The leathers we use are conditioned at the tannery to retain their oils and remain supple for years. Oiling or further conditioning is not necessary with normal use. Avoid soaking leather. If soaked, air dry away from any heat source. Clean leather with a damp rag and air dry away from direct sunlight.

Spot clean waxed canvas / twill with a clean, damp rag and mild soap (no detergent). Air dry away from direct sunlight.
