Time Lapse Video: Layout & Cutting an ARTIFACT Apron

Our products are often cut in batch, where we roll out and layer our material using a fabric spreader that runs along a track mounted on the side of our cutting table. After everything is smoothed out, we mark our pattern pieces using templates and a tailor crayon. The larger pieces are cut using our Eastman straight needle. It's like a small bandsaw on casters that glides across the masonite topped table. The smaller apron pockets are die cut using custom made steel rule dies with our hydraulic swing-arm "clicker" press (shown later in the video).

All ARTIFACT products are handmade in our Omaha, Nebraska studio using only the finest materials. The material being cut in this video is White Oak dry denim from Cone Mills, in North Carolina (RIP).
