Our planet has a seat at the table with every decision made at ARTIFACT. Here is what we are doing:

Reducing Waste:

With the help of Omaha’s Hillside Solutions, our studio composts or recycles more than 90% of our production waste. We use minimal compostable / recyclable packaging and offer local pickup at checkout.

Circular Economy:

Our team prides ourselves in making finest quality products, designed to last years. We also offer repairs (if need be) - to keep our products in use and out of landfill. Our Sustainable Collection offers products made from up-cycled materials in addition to GOTS certified fabrics.

Energy Efficiency:

By investing in high efficiency building mechanicals, production equipment, and LED lighting, our studio is reducing our environmental footprint.

Fair Labor:

ARTIFACT ensures fair wages and working conditions for employees, as well as prioritizing diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring and workplace policies.

Education:

Stay in the loop regarding our ethical practices via our newsletter, our social media (Instagram / Facebook), our blog, and our product descriptions.

Community involvement:

We engage with the local community by participating in events that promote sustainability.

Continuous improvement:

As a small artisanal business, sustainability is an incremental journey. We began offering sustainable products several years ago but have recently noticed more interest in slow fashion, transparency, and ecological practices. This fuels our optimism!
