Our Principles:
Since 2010, we have been designing and producing thoughtful, small batch products in our Omaha, NE studio based off the principles of quality, utility, and timeless design.
- Quality - is not subjective. Something is either well made, or it's not. Everyone at ARTIFACT is a skilled craftsperson first and foremost. We are obsessed with quality and only work with the finest materials (e.g. full grain American cowhide, solid brass hardware, Cordura™, mil-spec, & numbered cotton duck). - Utility - is what propels our passion for product design. We simply love creating purposeful objects for everyday life.
- Timeless Design - transcends trend and resides in the world as though it's always existed. We borrow a lot from the past while taking a long view approach of the future.

If our passion was profit, we would be doing anything else! We find meaning in working with our hands to produce the highest quality products with practical utility in a sustainable manner.
There are no veils regarding how or why we make our products. Our product descriptions, newsletter, and social media (Instagram / Facebook) detail our journey as a small business navigating the challenges of handmade and sustainability in an ever-changing world.
